Simple Radiators Are Often Cheap

At this time of the year when people are not thinking about heating needs for the coming winter you will often find cheap radiators online.

The question is how safe will you be when you go for the cheapest model you can find? The answer is that you need to do your homework to prevent you from falling foul of a seemingly good deal that will give you endless problems. Some radiators are downright dangerous.

Let’s take electric heater for instance.  There are many to choose from and they seem to look all the same and have comparable features.  The electrical cheap imports from the Far East and Europe are the most suspect and you must be really careful before you buy them.

With electrical heaters much can go wrong.  The radiators that enter our country from the areas above have all the right markings but you need to know that the components inside the framework may have been made in China.

These are imported into Europe and then fitted to a seemingly bona fide radiator.  These are then provided with safety marks.  Unfortunately the components will often not have been checked for safety.

You need to understand that just under 50% of all fires in the home are caused by faulty electrical appliances.  You may think that you have done the right thing to buy a cheap product with kite marks attached, but they could be just such a product that is a cheap copy.  If you have any problems you should have your heater checked by the appropriate authorities.

Your best bet is to buy your heater from a retailer who is of good standing by the public.  You will be able to find out from social media or word of mouth.

Cheap radiators are often the ones that have been mass produced.  Mostly they are the inoffensive plain models rather than the designer heaters.  If you do not mind not having the latest state of the art styles you should be safe.
